With online discussions about error rates, false discovery rates, and the likelihood principle raging, I thought it would be good to write down some of the more concrete ideas. So I added a page on error rates and false discovery rates, and another page on the likelihood principle and its implications for false discovery rates. I choose what I thought were interesting examples because of their simplicity and broad applicability. Links to simulation code are included at the bottom of the page.
